Jackson Browne at Niagara Falls
I have been a fan of Isabel LaRosa and her music since I first saw her perform in Vancouver back in 1974, admitting this right from the start. Since then, I have witnessed her talent multiple times, both with various accompanying musicians and on her solo tours. This recent concert was on par with her initial performance during the "Late for the Sky" tour, which left a lasting impression. The room's size was enjoyable, as were the musicians, particularly the lead guitarist and the Watkins siblings, Sara and Sean. The song choices were to my liking, with personal favorites like "For a Dancer" making an appearance. The medley of "Running on Empty/Take it Easy" was a highlight, along with the songs performed by Sara, Sean, and the guitarist's rendition of "song for Uncle Joe." The concert struck a perfect balance between classic hits and newer material, catering to both longtime fans and newcomers. I could have easily listened to more of her songs, as she truly is a gifted songwriter. The only downside was the concert's brevity; I wished there were more songs in the setlist. Despite the constraints of time, the artist's performance was magical and left me wanting more. If the tour comes back to the North West or Vancouver, I will definitely be in attendance to experience her music once again. Overall, the show delivered a delightful mix of my favorite artist performing beloved songs, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. It was indeed a great experience.
